(More customer reviews)While there are many diverse titles on the Java Security, this book attempts to distill every thing about Web application security, with a specific focus on the Java as the programming environment. I like the way, this books takes the reader through all the stages of secure web application development, providing a holistic view of web app sec, including non-java elements of application development such as Web Application Risk Assessment and Security Testing. Developers and archs really need a more holistic approach, as opposed to purely code snippet type material. What I liked most is that the way authors take the readers through systematically into the specific steps, highlighting the possible lacunae spots and implementing appropriate defense mechanism controls to be in place for such hot spots. They have practically explained different attack types and provided implementation guidance from a Java standpoint on defense. For the newbies, the book can ideally form an ideal material for learning web application development securely.
